About my Work
My journey into leatherwork began in 2001, back when I was bartending in New York City to support my music. I’ve always had slim wrists, and I could never find gear that fit right. So I bought a piece of latigo leather, a few basic tools, and set out to make myself a cuffwatch.
What happened next surprised me.
From a flat piece of leather, I shaped something sculptural and structured—hand-stitched, layered, and alive with light along its smooth, burnished edges. It felt like wearing a piece of living art. Friends started noticing. Then their friends started asking. Soon, I was making and selling pieces by word of mouth.
One day, a friend said something that stuck with me:
"Freddie, you’re really good at leatherwork. You’re not making it with music, and bartending is a dead end. Put your heart and head into this—take it further."
So I did. I launched my online presence in 2003 and haven’t looked back.
Over the years, I’ve deepened my craft, but I always return to the same simple truth: the tactile honesty of working with leather—cutting, shaping, and stitching every piece by hand.
I build my pieces to feel personal and bold, ready to be worn, shaped by time, and made truly alive by the ones who wear them.
Every piece I create carries a part of my own journey—still unfolding—and it’s an honor when it becomes part of yours.
